Merry thrifty Christmas!!

Like most of the population i'm finding my funds don't quite stretch that far anymore and Christmas is no fun without cash! Or is it? I'm normally so stressed every Christmas running round debenhams picking up gift boxes and then being hit by a sudden panic awaiting credit card bills in January! But this year I've cut my spending right back, now I working part time so I can look after my lil boy the cut backs are sadly a necessity rather than a choice however it's been so lovely this year not feeling that panic! My entire family and friends under £60 not bad considering I have a large family however I'm determined to bring that cost down even more! I have had the least stressful Christmas ever and I swear it's because I haven't overspent so I'm not having money crisis and I actually found it alot more rewarding. So much better really thinking about the person and being creative rather than just buying 10 boxes of chocs n wine which I use to do! I have given my time to my sister in law to decorate the babys room ( due in march) i've also packaged up DVDs we have already seen and put some bags of popcorn and sweeties with it for a cozy night in! Rummaged through charity shops for antique soap dishes and got handmade soaps then packaged it all up with ribbons! Painted old photos frames and put photos of my little boy and lots more but will have to tell you after Christmas so I don't spoil the surprises and hopefully my friends and family are still speaking to me by boxing day!
